Read books, get old computers that you can try to FIX, fiddle with that software, in fact, try Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org for FREE. Then join some Yahoo Groups like mine at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/KeepYourComputerAlive

if there was it wouldnt be self taught now would it? no but seriously im a computer genius and i learned everything but just playing with computers. if you want to learn about it just open word and explore it. See what everything does, just play around. Click on the "help" tab by the top and read the manual. do that with every program.

Look for tutorials on the web, some great ones built into the programs' itself. Plus your local library probably has lots of books on them.
Check out websites such as Amazon, where you can buy books fairly cheapy or pretty good condition second hand for a fraction of the price.

The best way that i have found to build a website is through Webstarts. It is remarkably easy with the new unique drag and drop feature. It does not take any learning it is self explanatory.

You can find many sites that offer free tutorials. Best to get a book from libary, or take a class from local community college or rop.
