At first it didn't seem like I was, but then my computer started running much slower and would freeze up or not let me into screens I should be able to be on. I have removed IE7 and gone back to IE6, and a lot of this stuff has gone anyway. I'm interested in knowing what other problems other people may have had with it. Quite frankly, I didn't like IE7 anyway.

actually i have 768 MB DDR2 RAM on my laptop. i have made exactly 700 MB pagefile which is not fragmented and is present on non-bootable partition (as recommended by microsoft). i want to know whether this recommendation of keeping pagefile to about one and a half times size of RAM in system has anything to do with number of bits used to address virtual memory addresses? i have seen very good performance of my laptop whether it is gaming or autocad or anything else. why is this recommendation so generic when people have so different amounts of RAM installed?

I have recently purchased a PC from a computer fare. I unwittingly took the bloke's word for it that Windows XP was genuine, but when I try to update, Microsoft tell me it isn't. I've had a look in a few PC shops, and have seen XP Professional for £271 and XP home upgrade for £60. If I buy the Home edition, will it work? How would I upgrade from XP to XP? Or would I be better off buying the Professional version?

Please help!!!

I'll explain.. I remix songs, and I'm trying to get a program that will play an MPEG video file but lets you remove/silence the audio so I can sync my songs to the video. That would be tight.

I successfully completed and saved one note. Named a file and placed it in that file. I pulled up a blank as yet unfiled note and completed half then saved. I can't locate it now? If I accidentally tried to delete instead of save it would I have been given a prompt asking if I were sure? I'm bummed that my works "missing"
