My computer won't get past setup!?

I have an older version Dell computer with Windows 2000. Whenever I turn it on, the setup begins to start, but it won't finish because it says that one of the files is corrupt. Can anyone help me?

What is the file name? Try pressing F8 and see if the computer boots into Safe Mode.

format it .. and use a clean Windows CD for setup
