Downloading and using Limewire is not illegal. The fact that you are downloading protected files through Limewire may be illegal depending on the copyright laws enforced on the product and your territory.
For example, you cannot download some of the music files through Limewire if the original music has been protected by the original musician/group/recording company/etc.

Limewire is legal. The stuff you download with it probably is not though.

Just installed it a couple hours ago. It's legal . I still haven't figured out all about it yet. But did download a legal song...just don't know how to play it on windows media yet.

sure is..but some(most) files that are hosted on limewire are copyrighted

The program itself is not illegal to have installed, the files being shared unless rights free, open source, or license free is illegal to download or share throughout and p2p network.

Of course it is iam using it from a long time ,it's only problem that it gives for you too much xxx results.
