When I open the computer - on the start line comes PanoStandAlone error 1706. I have used all the various reg & cleaning, defrag, resolutions to get rid of it and as at this morning it has not appeared after I did a restart. It wouldn't let me cancel it, uninstall as the message said it was on a disc. As I've yet to get to uploading programmes from a disc (I'm a beginner) how can that be? This happened once before and I managed to get rid of it but can't remember how. It took all day Saturday to finally get rid of it, if it happens again what is a quick way to get rid of it? It's quite frightening for a beginner when you can't turn off your computer!!! AAHHH!!

I am asking because twice I have loaded it onto my computer and had trouble with it. The title bar it self shows only squares and not the full name of Explorer. When I want to get to my desk top after disconnecting from the internet unable to do so. It just freezes on me so I have to reset my computer each time.

I have been installed Window media 11 for Window Xp but i cant minimize media player (Stay on Taskbar like this http://lifehacker.com/assets/resources/2006/08/windowsmedia.png). Right click on Taskbar line Toolbars i do'nt see "Window media player" .How i can Enable mini player mode.

Hi. I am trying to create a picture slideshow with DVD menu that I can burn on a DVD and play it on my DVD player which reads JPEG files.

I am NOT trying to make a movie file from the image files. By that I mean I want to be able to go back and forth from picture to picture.
In other words I want to control how long each image displays on TV and go to next one when I want to. I could just use Picture Story but the only control I have is to pause the movie or to rewind.

I have downloaded and tried three software from the web, including Microsoft Photo Story. They are all nice for making slideshows with nice transition effects and background music but they make a movie or movies from a set of images.

Is anyone aware of any software on the web that will help me make a DVD picture CD with a menu that does not convert images into a movie.

For example, like any DVD movie with a main menu allowing me to select a album to look at. Has anyone done this before? Thanks.

I was wondering how to make a slideshow...like they do on myspace.

A.k.a. A fast moving arrangement of pictures that looks like an animation but in 3-4 pics.


I would normally know this stuff but my specialty is on photoshop, and WMM. No one i know is smart enough to use adobe or WMM so i know its not one of those 2.

all right before, I was able to delete selected text by selecting and pushing backspace. now there's something wrong. I can only do that if i select the text and push the delete button. Its so annoying because sometimes i forget that selecting and pushing backspace doesn't work anymore and it doesn't delete. My keyboard is fine. I can select and delete with the backspace button everywhere else except Word. Please help

I downloaded internet explorer 7.0 and it did not download properly. I am using 6.0 still and it now only lets me view one window. I am also using windows XP with service pack 2. If I minimize the window and try pulling up a second one it reverts to the old window. I have tried everything. I assume there is a reset or box that I can check to make my windows program to allow me to have multiple viewing windows. It is not the pop up blocker...I have turned it off and nothing changes...HELP....Please.

Recently I went to the Microsoft Updates Website to check whether Automatic Updates was keeping my computer COMPLETELY updated or not. There, this framework thing was available for download. I did it without knowing what it is meant for. Now, everytime I try to update my computer, it keeps goading me to download 40-50 mB updates. What exactly is this thing, can you please tell me? As far as I know, I have never used any framework thing. Explanation in layman's terms would be appreciated. Also, if I don't need it can I uninstall in Add/Remove Programs without harming my computer?

This program has been installed on my laptop for 3 months. No problems! Then i go to use word to complete my work, and the margins top and bottom dont work! I tired restoring defualts no luck, no i have to manual space the top and bottom margins in which is annoying so if someone knows how to change it back, (i have tried resetting the settings and it says the magins should be 1 inch by they arent) PLEASE HELP

for some reason, I cannot elimiante two files from the same internet address, I have gone into internet options and cleared my cookies deleted files and cleared history but these internet addresses are still in my bar, They are not there if you simply click on the downward arrow on the right hand side of the bar but if you enter the first initial being A they show themselves, along with the non internet stuff eg. adobe acrobat etc

how do i get rid of this stuff

When I lived in the Western time zone, I added holidays to my Microsoft Outlook calendar. I have since moved to the East coast and my holidays are all off by 3 hours. They all start at 3AM and end at 3AM the next day. How do I fix?
