I assume that if you are answering this question then you already know what I'm talking about but just in case, it's the hard disk of my computer that I can use as ram.

I do have 256Mb with an agp card, and when I play games for maybe an hour I'll get a notice at the bottom right hand corner of the monitor that says I don't have enough virtual memory and then it says it is increasing the paging file of my computer.

No, that is not harmful but not helpful either. What you need to do is install a good video card with a good bit of onboard memory. You can get AGP cards with about 256MB of onboard memory for way under $100.00

You should also make sure you have a fair amount of memory in your computer itself, say at least 512 MB, the more the better.

Will not hurt, and will help. If you have the room, I would use at least a GB.

its not harmful. i did it and i couldnt really tell the difference.
