Software - November 2006

I listen to rock music. I'd prefer something that has a beat detection process that learns the songs rythm. Keep in mind I'm running a Pentium 4 Mobile 1.1 GHZ with 256 RAM, graphic card Mobility Radeon 7500.

Name a good visualization to download, and if you could even recommend settings I should set it to to best suit my computer that would be great. Thanks

i have studio 8 already on the computer. and everytime i try and load 9, i get the transfer component error?

I'm looking for a piece of software which will translate thousands of german articles to at least english and prefferably more languages, I know this is machine translation and not perfect. I'm also not shy of paying for software like this, but preferably under 400$.

every time i click on limewire it just doesnt open. it shows that hourglass for a few secs but then it doesnt open. its been doing this for a few days now.
ive tried reinstalling it a few times but doesnt work. ive deleted all the limewire files that i have on the computer and then downloaded a fresh limewire frm the internet, it still doesnt work. ive tried downloading other filesharing programs and it gives a message saying," " has to close, sorry for the inconveniance(send or dont send). pleas help.

ive done virus tests with various programs, done a registery check.
having the same problem with flash too.help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am able to download a call log from my mobile phone account to excel is csv format. Im trying to manipulate the date to show when the acitivity peaks and how long I am on the phone for and how many calls I make each day. This is part of an ongoing relapse prevention plan that I am trying to implement for a mental health condition I suffer with.

The IE explorer report error and then closes down. While checking error report it says something about mshtml.dll file. Is this file corrupt. How to reload this file or IE from the Win XP CD.

I took my HDD out of my PC and put it in a USB enclosure so that I can copy my files to my notebook before I restore my PC to facory settings. Now I cant copy the files to my Notebook because I dont have access, as I am not on my original PC as the original user. WHAT CAN I DO??? This is really frustrating as I need to save my files before my HDD is formatted. The files are in ''my documents'' folder. My PC doesnt work anymore as one of the windows files are corrupt. The only way to fix this would be to do a system restore, and this will format my HDD. How do I get my files? Both my PC and Notebook runs Windows XP.

for my myspace layout it says this image removed due high-bandwidth usage u can restore the image by replacing it wit a clickable thumbnail, which uses less band-width. freem image hosting at imageshack. wut does all this mean? can u help me get tha image back?

I need to delete one, b/c I am low on memory. Obviouisly, I need to keep the particular copy that I use. When my pc boots up I choose the second Windows XP. This is the one I want to keep, I want to delete the first copy. How do I do this without accidentally deleting the second copy??? Thanks!!!

i recently acquired a licensed copy of Windows XP and MS Office through my scholarship. I intend to install it in my AMD Sempron which was 2 yrs.old. I have a plan of buying a new system in the next 6 0r 7 months. If i installed it there, can't i re-use it in my incoming new system?

I have a P4 processor 1.6 ghz, 512 GB RAM . My operating system is Windows XP pro . Lately, all of a sudden, when I try to restart the system it brings the sign of 'Windows Xp starting' below which there is a moving colored bar, then suddenly it shows a blue screen(which remains there for only a split second so I can't read what's written in it) then it restarts the system again, and keeps repeating this process forever untill I turn it off.
I tried restarting in safe mode, and in safe mode with command propmpt only, but I reach the same result. I am sure that drive C is ok because I used it as a slave on another computer and it was readable and all the data there intact and the checkdisk showd no errors in drive. I am sure that the RAM and other systemcomponents are ok because I started the system using Windows 98 which was on my second drive and it works fine. How can I fix my Windows XP and make it start? Is there any solution other than formatting my first drive?
