Software - November 2006

and will not let me log on with my password. last thing I did was run ad-aware. Cannot goet to the desktop. not even in safe mode. Still freezes at the windows xp bluescreen. I do not have a recovery disk, just windows XP professional. I don't want to wipe out my files by re-installing windows, but cant get to the desktop to do anything.

I am using adobe 7.0. I have a fillable form,every time I try to fill in a date, it wants to type in foriegn language. How do I change the language back to english.

i've heard about the qualities of photoshop and everything, but i really don't wanna pay for it, since i'm not much of a techie, photography-type person, and i reckon i won't use it much anyway even if i DID buy it.
so i'm looking for a free software that i can maybe download or something that doesnt have to be up to photoshop standards, but maybe close....
does anyone know of such a software?

I start up, and this pops up.

Windows couldn't start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

/system32/ntoskrnl.exe

Please reinstall this file (Or something like that)


Now, its not spyware or adware...or virus...because its never been online. Its a strictly offline computer.

I looked up a couple things, and one said to load from a windows XP cd. I did that. But, I can't log into anything. I loaded the recover section, and something about picking the loading place or something. The only button that does anything is the number 1. Then administrator password pops up, but it doesn't work. And thats all I can do with the CD.

I tried a couple of other things, but I couldn't load anything I needed, like safemode, or last known working configuration.

So, how do I fix this if the XP CD won't work, I can't access anything I need to, and it won't load anything?

we were given a pc for the kids to use. when you turn it on a log into windows box appears with a name already there. we do not know the password nor can we get it. it will not do anything else but go to that box. any ideas how to get around this??

I have an older version of windows xp, and for some reasone any time i try to upgrade to sp1 or whatever that pack is that contains the 2.0 drivers it says that your windows is not authentic? which is weird because i bought xp at its release. is there anyways around this? can i download a third party 2.0 driver or anything? i hate uploading my music onto my ipod it takes days with the 1.1

Well I know about illegal downloading sites and all, like Limewire, but I don't want that! I just want some legal music. But the problem is I have no idea when it's legal or not. I know Limewire is legal. Paying for it makes it legal, right? Does it have to be payed for to be legal? A friend of mine said that downloading mp3 format songs is illegal, but downloading wma formats and others besides mp3 is legal. So is this true? My Pc still sick I think so?
everytime I want to put my portatil memory it doesnt open the take action and when I want to open through my PC it doesnt work and my portatil memory has a redlight when is using the ligh is on so it's like someone were using.. as well when I put cd it doesnt open the message the take an action. sometimes a website in japanese it doesnt have any adresss it looks like porn I cannot undertand I tried adaware,spybot,and antispyware they detected many things and they put in quarantine. as well I tried in safe mode but when I reboot in normal all still sick there is a thing called SVOHOST always I off when I am reboot the thing still there I dont know I've tried off the programs that I dont know through RUN /msconfig and Services then Startup in special SVOHOST cuz someone told me I should off and on the programs that I DONT KNOW AND I KNOW I DONT WANT REFORMAT MY PC PLZ TELL ME WHAT IS IT AND HOW COULD I ELIMINATE I HAVE AVG AS ANTIVIRUS BUT IT DOESNT DETECTE
