I actually want it to be a transparent gif, but I don't own photoshop and if I do it through MSPaint, a lot is lost.

Any suggestions?

you can use an animating program.

or if you're trying to do this because it loses color when you upload it online, you can change it into .png on paint, then it won't lose color, or size or anything. it'll stay the same.

Just download the free Polyview. It's a very clean, simple program that will convert anything to anything and has all the adjustments functions to touchup or resize pictures.
