Does anyone have any idea what Limewire is? I heard it was kinda like a media player. I just need some general info like where it is or if it is safe (or legal). Thank you!

Lime-wire is a file sharing program that allows you to share all kinds of files with millions of other users. The biggest reason people use it are for music file swapping, but others use it for photo's (and porn). It is somewhat legal but not fully. You have to pay for it, but it still allows you to break copyright infringement laws. You are a technical felon if you use this software and swap music files. All shareware programs tat give outside users access to your computer are unsafe, as a savvy hacker can get into your computer and give you viruses or even use you as a cog in his web of trying to hide from the authorities while committing a crime.

It's a file sharing program like kazaa or napster. It's mostly legal unless you're download hacks, cracks or pirated software. It's not safe at all, it's probably the cause of 80 percent of virus infections around the world.
