Recently I went to the Microsoft Updates Website to check whether Automatic Updates was keeping my computer COMPLETELY updated or not. There, this framework thing was available for download. I did it without knowing what it is meant for. Now, everytime I try to update my computer, it keeps goading me to download 40-50 mB updates. What exactly is this thing, can you please tell me? As far as I know, I have never used any framework thing. Explanation in layman's terms would be appreciated. Also, if I don't need it can I uninstall in Add/Remove Programs without harming my computer?
Thanks a lot!

You probably heard about Java. >NET Framework is Microsoft's answer to Java.

When software developer developers software they developers it using a programming language. While software developed using some language can ran directly in computer ( in geek term these are compiled language) , some other requires a special platform to run ( this are called interpreted language).

While compiled language may sound better it is easier to develope sofisticated program using interpreted language. Java is Pioneer in this field. Microsoft tried to answer this and created a common frame work for several language including Visual Basic, C++, C# etc. What they made is name .NET framework.

In short, you have nothing to do with it, but to run some software you may need it. If it is not installed in your PC you may face problem with installing some software later.

Its a poem already, having such genuine thought, pouring in a mushy gentle bypass. If i for my area have been given the belief you desire to precise, then the be conscious " doppelganger" or its Anglo version 'doubleganger', is a would desire to for a effective closure.that still is going for the "greater stable greater"; the bypass says that there are a number of (conceptual) words entangled between, earlier, and after those 2 words. A particularly effective examine!

it is used for stuff like visual basic programming and the internet explorer, and many more things. You DO and will need it, so keep it. It isn't specificllly run. it is like an add-on, an extension. basically, an update. You should and will want it.
