Do you have Powerpoint on your PC?

If not, there is a Powerpoint viewer, but you will only be able to view the file, not make any edit. This link says it will let you view PPT from 97 onward. If you are unable to download it, it may be because MS no longer supports Windows 98.

It's likely that the version of Office that you purchased is not compatible with Windows 98. Check the label on the box.

If you downloaded a bootleg copy, then it could be the same problem as above or God only knows what. Maybe your PC didn't like the virus that tried to install itself...

If you only need to VIEW PowerPoint files and not EDIT them, then your Best Answer is to visit the web page below on Microsoft's Office website. Search for "powerpoint viewer" to find the right FREE viewer for your system.

You need to instal a Powerpoint Viewer, which you can obtain from the site below, also note the comment that you may need to install the file from the following link as well: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=f1b7a5b0-611b-45a7-a06d-cadff33e64da&DisplayLang=en
