i cant get java to download from ANYWHERE! I've been to java.com, sun.com, microsoft.com, hippo.com and many other sites and anytime I try to download j2se it REFUSES to load the page. Any suggestions?? Thanks

The Automatic updates feature has been telling me that I must update to the SP2.

I have tried to ignore it
but some things are limited to an SP2 Requirement.

I have heard many things about SP2 messing up the computer
and how they had to reprogram the entire system.

what should i do?

I used window XP, but when I sent people emails and they replied my emails
The words became irregular words or codes.
For examples,
“company” become “companyâ€・
don’t become don’t
week’s become week’s

I've downloaded a movie and I want to burn it onto disc to player on my DVD player. By clicking on Properties it says the file type is Video Clip. Are there any free programs I could download that can convert this to a format that can play on a DVD player (I know my DVD player can read CD-Rs).

i have the latest version of explorer which is 7.0, i also have windows XP. my question is how do i change the size of the windows. for instance if i want to play a game on pogo.com, i select my game and it open in a new window which i am ok with however it doesnt all fit in the new window that opens. i have tried right clicking on the top and try sizing it and that doesnt help. TIA

ok, i recently downloaded a program and it turnt out to be a viris filled.

now my computer is telling me about "malware" and spyware..

where can i get a FREE program to get rid of these viris's?

I get my curser at the top of the document which I have already started. I go into “Format” and then “Paragraph” and select double spacing.

What happens is it will double-space for a portion of the existing document then just quit. I have to go to where Word STOPPED double spacing (for no apparent reason) and re-enter the command.

Why do I have to do this? Does it have anything to do with me hitting the return/enter key at the end of a paragraph? Why should that matter?

It’s easy to fix but it bugs me.

How do you use this p2p software, where on the web can I download it from and then how to use and search etc.

Okay, big problem. My sister is 1500 miles away and is completely & utterly non-technical & PC illiterate. I got her a PC when I was there & got her online, showed her how to use it, etc. I've now talked her through logging on etc. many times on the phone & I'd rather have a root canal.

I want to see what's on her screen & be able to control her machine - type/click on my end and have her see it, to demonstrate actions. I also want to be able to tell her to type/click and be able to see it on my end.

I looked at PC Anywhere. Way too pricey, and I'm not sure if it includes both programs, for my computer and for hers. I also considered GoToMyPC but you can't even find out how much it is on their website unless you set up an account, which I won't do.

I don't even know if either of these would meet my needs, or if there is another program that would be better/cheaper. Also, is there something VERY easy to install on her end, or that I can install from here?

HELP!! :)

I just bought a new computer and I want to create music with it. Someone suggested Pro Tools, but I researched it and I need specific hardware to use that program. I've got a powerful computer, a mixer, a mic and a dream - now I just need a good program that will allow me to put everything together on my computer. Any suggestions?

Ok -- Computer has been recently reformatted and now I need to put Java on it.

I tried to download java from java.com and sun.com and it refuses. I've tried on a total of 4 computers now, including having my friend try on hers. Everywhere I go on the internet that tells me I can download java from there will send me to a page that won't load. Always says "cannot find server" SO??? How the heck do I get java?

I thought maybe I could download limewire and get it from there, but, when downloading/installing limewire, it says that the java part of it failed. Grrrr.

Please, if you decide to help, please dont just give the address to a webpage without FIRST clicking download to make sure it's actually going to download.

This is meant to facilitate printing out an excel sheet when it's pretty detailed. The excel sheet somehow acquired a small font and smaller cells, but i don't know how they did it. I wanna do it myself this time.

Windows does not support this CD-RW format. To use this disc, choose task "Erase this CD-RW" which will format the disc so Windows can use it... I do NOT understand why????

a few months ago i found out that my windows xp wasn't genuine,so i bought one,installed it,put all the key numbers in,so far so good,
the problem iv now got is that:-
when we got the genuine disk we got a letter with all the important numbers needed to put in when installing,BUT my hubby has thrown it away (stupid i know)how do i retreive these numbers,obviously there very important,

It's been saying for a few days that I should update my iTunes, but I just didn't think it was a big deal and didn't get around to it. But now it won't open!
