Based on my experience with the release candidate version of Vista, I'd say its much more powerful. But, this is more a matter of personal taste. So the observations that I discuss below may not fit what you'd like to see.
I like the Aero graphics, and how it is more secure right out of the box (a big plus). I also like how it now indexes all your files for extremely fast searches, and the virtual search folder feature. The 'Start' menu is improved, although a bit too similar to XP's 'Start' menu. On the bright side you can search for applications to run with it very quickly. There's a bunch of other, smaller features that are scattered all around that you'll have to see for yourself.

That's what they are saying....but it's pretty much the same tune they've been saying since Windows 3.1. Same story, different day.
They've been blocking McAfee and others from the code until only recently, so the security on this is going to swiss cheese at best.
here are the guarantees: It'll consume more resources (time, money, memory), it'll look better, and it'll force you to buy a bunch of new software you didn't want to have to replace.

We have the beta form and I like it really well. They should be releasing it next year. It's just as simple to work with, but I like the graphic qualities a lot better. I would reccomend getting it when it comes out. Good Luck!

No, not in my opinion. Have you heard about the licensing? You only get one install meaning if you have to recover or your hard drive fails.....Your screwed, you would have to go buy another $400 copy.
