Click the File menu and select Page Setup. Click Landscape view.
As for making it all fit in, that is more time consuming. You just choose smaller fonts and stuff.

It's done a couple of ways... in Page Setup, there should be a Portrait/landscape mode...... If you want a large page to print out on a 8/12 x 11 (and it's too big), you can go to File/Print/Options and you can reduce your pages there (Print on one page)..... then make sure to you Print Preview before you print it out.

RE:
How do I format my excel sheet to 'landscape' mode?
This is meant to facilitate printing out an excel sheet when it's pretty detailed. The excel sheet somehow acquired a small font and smaller cells, but i don't know how they did it. I wanna do it myself this time.

if you're just viewing it, landscape can be selected from File, then Page setup.
if you're printing, highlight the area of cells, then choose File, Print, then Selection (under Print What), then choose Print Preview. You can make additional adjustments on size, margins, and headers.
good luck.

Click on file, then page setup - select landscape - check the paper size and you're done.
