We have these damned fire walls in Iraq that b lock chat programs and I would like to know if there is any way to configure the proxy settings on programs such as GoogleTalk, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, etc... that would allow the program to sign in. I've tried a ton of proxy sites and none have worked.

If you can give me the proxy and port number and any authentication required, if necessary (username, password) and it works then you will have 10 points guaranteed!!!

I have some pictures on my cpu that are rather personal and I have friends that are on my cpu pretty often. I hid the folder pretty well but just in case, I'd like to make it password accessible only.

I have Spysweeper on my laptop and desktop.
My laptop subscription is fine but my desktop subscription is expired.
My moms computer also needs it.

Can I use the existing key from my current subscription on my desktop and my moms computer?

I'd hate to spend another 40 dollars for only a single computer use..

I've put new anti spyware programs and anti virus on and I still have an annoying icon in the taskbar that pops a message up every few minutes telling me I need to buy new software. All other traces of the trojan horse seem to be gone, only the icon in the task bar is left but it's the worst. To make matters worse it's my work computer.

Ok I*m asking this Question on Behalf of my mother. My Step Bro is 18 and Well as any typical 18yr He downloads Porn. My mom knows he does it and doesnt care if hes Discreat about it. Only thing is he Downloads porn from File shairing Sites and Now she Get ad pop up all the time for Porn sites. She has 2 other Kids in the house that are 14 and she doesnt want them seeing stuff like that, along with herself!

they have Had to get their computers Hard Drive cleaned 4 times in the past 2 years cause there computer was infected with Virus and Trojan files. She added another user just for the 18yr with his own Password but that doesnt help either!

so my question is, Is there a Blocker that will block Adult sites but still let Instant Messanger and Myspace run? shes fine with Myspace But is just so Tired of Porn. and No Turing the Virus scan filter doesnt work. he just turns it back down!!!

Any help or info???

Hello. Problem is exacerbated by the inability of either browser to access sites with any level of security. I think that my system may be compromised but I am not sure. I have never seen this behavior before. Please help.

Okay, a friend sent me an email with picture.exe attached. I was really tired and wasnt thinking and just opened it. Immediatly noticing what i had done. Now... this seem to be an advanced version instead of the one that surfaced in 1998. I have no clue what this new one does, but i do know that this new one doesn't follow the same 'NOTE.exe' or 'MANAGER.exe' tendencies. Any idea what I can do to try and get rid of it and find out what damage its done? I have searched for Manager.exe and Note.exe but couldnt find either (or picture.exe). I have searched for the registry entry and couldn't find it... what else can i do? what else can it do?

I don't know what it is, I get a yellow sign with a ! point in it. That says I have some spyware on it. Everytime i try to go to internet propteries of my internet explorer it says you can not perfrom action because of restrictions, please contact your adminstrator. It does that for almost everything, control panel, etc. I need help with this. I can use the internet, but it runs slower. Thank you very much!!

Are Internet business Web sites safe,secure and trustworthy?Online consumers I think would like to learn more about the web sites they visit,especially bedore submitting any private information, and to transact online with confidence. Consequently the needs fr Internet privacy and e-commerce are stedily growing.
So,how in your opinion,might consumer protection and online safety be assuered?
