Hm..This is an Actually Real hard question.
Many AV Companys have improved, where-as others have "deproved".
I'd say pick and choose one from these. These are "My top rated for this year. I will include a Pro & Con List.
*Norton 360
Pro's: Top Knotch Programs. Includes TuneUp Programs in order to make your computer running at its best 24/7.
Con's: Still takes up alot of resources. But, some agree that this time its worth it.
*Kapersky Internet Security Suite:
Pro's: Highly Effective AntiSpyware & AntiVirus.
Con's: Not as good Firewall
*BitDefender AntiVirus:
Pro's: Extremely Great Scannning
Con's: Bit overload on False-Positives
*NOD 32
Pro's: Popular, Great Scanner
Con's: Takes a bit of time to update and such
Personally, I would go for Norton360. Its been rated so high this year and month. It was recognized as a 5/5 Rating from the Editor's of PC magazine.
In addition, Yahoo! Uses & Supports it too.

All Anti Virus Softwares claim they are the best i dont think any can be named individually as infinite no of virus are discoverd every day .Internet security is the process of protecting data and privacy of devices connected to Internet from information robbery,

But, If you have a large memory (RAM *more than* 512MB), then I would suggest u get Norton 360. It loads quickly than many other processes on your pc (Norton's all other products load at the end of all processes and take too much time as well as memory). So its your good bet.
