I know how to block a website entirely.. but I want to know how to block a CERTAIN web page.. without letting anyone know about that?

You can easily block a website by adding to the restricted website list. See below. However, you can take a more convert step by editing your host file. Check out the link below for that.

Internet Explorer version 5 and later offer the ability for heighten security and privacy. You can block a site by following the directions below:

1. Load your Internet explorer
2. Click Tools
3. Click Internet Options
4. Click the Privacy tab
5. Under the Privacy window, Click Sites
6. Type in the site address that you want to Block and Click OK. Remember this technique only blocks on one site at a time. Parental control software will allow you to block multiple sites and categories.

You can "hack" your hosts file, to always redirect the website back to the computer. Basically, it looks something like:

127.0.0.1 http://www.google.com

where "127.0.0.1" is the "localhost", or the way the computer talks to itself, and "http://www.google.com" is the website you want to block (just as an example).

Basically, it will always just look like the site is down.

This doesn't quite block individual web pages, though. It could block something like "http://somestupidserver.myspace.com", but it could not block "http://www.myspace.com/somestupidpage.htm". If you were good with computers, especially Linux, you could build your own DNS server that could block the pages more effectively.

In any case, you must figure out how to avoid arousing suspicion. If the people using the computer see that only one specific web page is down on an entire site, they may figure out that the site is blocked.And if they find out that the page is always accessible from another computer, but not from yours, they will probably know for sure.
