Is it possible for a computer hacker or spy etc.to read documents that are saved on a pc?

I've tried logging in under the safe mode, but it just goes the the login screen, where i dont have the password. Please help.

Are IP addresses static? ie is one's computer stuck with the same IP address forever if one stays in the same place/area? Or when one turns their computer off and then switch it back on again will I have a different IP address?

I've been given a new lap top for christmas with norton alredy on it. The 60 day free trile has elapsed so unfortunatley I have a trojan on my LT. I've been trying to delete it from my programs to install a new anti viruse of some sort, but it wont allow it. Now I can't start up my internet. (I am a new user)

On my work computer you can only get to wedsites that the IT team has "unblocked." All others come up "Site blocked by local policy." I know there is a way around this because someone at work has done it for me before. He no longer works at the company and last weekend they reimaged our computers. We are running Windows 2000 if that helps. They only thing I know about how it was done is that he went into some file/folder/doc and switched around a one and a zero. I don't know how much longer I can go with out the internet at work!

we are sharing computer on networks but only one peron can acess my computer his computer is shown on my computer but i cant acess it , it ask for a password inspite of the fact that there is no pass word ... and all the password i gave it treat as wrong.. pls help it out

Normally this advises me when an Active X control needs to be run, etc., or when pop-ups are blocked but today it has just disappeared. I am running Norton Internet Security and haven't changed any settings. What do you think has happened and how can I reinstate it?

In my systems,when i open windows 98,icons like my computer etc are not displaying in the screen and the mouse is not activating,but the background picture is there .(recently i downloaded pictures from internet for screensavers and background pictures,i doubt whether this a cause)can anyone give me some suggestions?
