There are files on my computer that keep popping up and i try to remove them under the add/remove files in control panel but it directs me into a web page. is there any other way to remove them?

go to majorgeeks.com
download avg for antivirus
ad-aware for spyware
both are free and good

Do you know what you are doing? Are you sure you are not trying to remove needed files? Be careful and make sure you have your XP disks available for a Reinstall of the OS.

Run antivirus and antispyware programs in Safe Mode.
