The display going across the top of your screen is the Toolbar for the Browser you are using. You could have Internet Explorer 6 or 7, Firefox, Opera or one of many others.
Go to the Help on the Toolbar. Click and then select the option that starts with "About". If you have Internet Explorer it will say "About Internet Explorer". Click it and it will tell you what version of IE you are using.

Jesus wept. . . A web browser is an application program that lets you browse, i.e. have a look round, the world wide web, or web for short. You will probably have used one to ask your question and to read this answer. So Internet Exploder is one, as is Firefox, Netscape and Safari and so on . . .

ok, by risk you are joking here it is, Internet explorer you use to start int internet is a browser, what they mean is click behind the internet address and hold down your left mouse button and drag a highlight over the address you are suppost to copy, then let go of the left button when it is highlighted. Now put the computer pointer on the highted address and click the right button on your mouse and select copy,
now click the pointer in the section in front of the word Address, now right click your mouse and select copy.
press the enter key on your keyboard and the internet address you copied should be there and on its way to the site you requested.

They mean to copy a web address and paste it into the bar at the top of your open web window. It probably says "address" to the left of the bar.
