Security (Computers & Internet) - February 2007

I have run NAV, AVG, and Spybot search and destroy but none of them detect anything wrong. Please tell me what I need to fix this problem. When I open IE it goes to http://asafetynotice.com/ and tries to get me to buy the software from here, http://malwarewiped.com/?aid=246. Are these legitimate websites or are they part of the scam/infection trying to gain my information.

Is there any way to see what was typed on an internet page?

As in a text message...the pages are listed in my history and I really need to find out what was sent. Please please please help me.

spybots?? what are they, etc??? computers!?

i've heard people talkin about spybots??? what are they and how do they work???

how do you find out if you have any in your computer, and are there any free programs to clear them???

have good anti-virus and spyware, but heard someone talking about hese spybots or something similar

norton security?

we have 3 comps all running a trial version of norton when they run out can i buy 1 full version and still run it on all 3 or do i need to buy 3 sets. i know there are free progs out there but i like norton because it is thorough and does a good job for me. any help will be appreciated thanx

What is a excellent and FREE virus and spyware protection you have used?

I heard soooooooooo many people say AOL protection sucks, doesn't work, and is very slow or may even make their comp run slow. So far, I have Ad-aware SE personal (which a comp tech downloaded for me) and Windows Defender, but I would like to know other free services that will keep my comp spyware and virus free. Do U know any?All answers would be greatly appreciated:)

when I try to go to certain websites, my computer won't let me?

as we protect a file by password, can we protect the whole folder by a pass word?

How to protect the entire folder by a pass word?. It is difficult to give a pass word for each file in a folder as one folder may contain even 100 files. Thanks

Spybot S&D question....?

Why doesnt Spybot scan the same way that AdAware or other programs do? I mean, while its scanning, it shows at the bottom of screen all these different spyware items, restricted sites, and says its doing a 'bot check'. But is it scanning the regular disc files, and registry? i guess it is, but why isnt it showing the progress in scanning those things, instead of just the 'bot' items? Does anyone know what I mean?? Its just different, but maybe its ok and Im just expecting it to be like the others Ive used.
