Yes, as long as you buy smart, it is a great way to get things. First, check out the seller's rating. You want to buy something from someone with a history of selling (look at the number in parenthesis next to the name), and who has a good feedback rating. You can read all the reviews, to see why something may not be 100%. Also, use a credit card through paypal so you can challenge the charge if there is a problem.

I've been using Ebay for a few years now and have never had a problem.Once I got an email from them saying that my password had been compromised and my account was locked. All I had to do was change my password and my account was unlocked.Seems to me that they had my best interests in mind by blocking my account.Yes,it's safe.

There are security procedures set up to protect you when you buy something from ebay. I've used it and only had 1 problem that was resolved farely quickly.

Read the reviews from other buyers about their dealings with the seller alot of very strong/positive negative reviews will give you a clue if he's honest or not.

Some people have no problem with it, but you don't know with whom you are dealing. Personally, I prefer to deal with a reputable firm. Can't you run a search for whatever it is you want?
Try www.amazon.com. People sell and buy things here, but you pay to Amazon. I have had no problem here so far.
