You mean you (or someone else) typed something into a form field (or multiple fields) on a web page, such as you do when answering a question here? And you want to see what was typed after the page was closed? I'm not certain, but I doubt that's possible even with the history feature. To my knowledge, the only data stored there is the URL of the page where you entered information.

If you had a keylogger active you could see what was typed. And there have been times when I'd enter information and then need to go back and it was still there. But once the page is closed I'm afraid it's probably erased from memory. It may never even leave random access memory to be written to disk, which (if true) means there'd be no way to get it back by un-deleting some part of the disk.

I know this answer isn't terribly useful, but I saw you were getting no others, and seem desperate. I figured you could at least use some understanding! I've been there and it's very frustrating.

For preventing this in the future at least, though I don't know how applicable this is to your situation, I've learned a trick here at Yahoo! Answers that has helped me. If I'm typing a long answer I sometimes select all the text and copy it into the clipboard before moving on to the Preview page. That way if something happens (like I have to sign back in, and then get some page other than my answer) I'll be able to go back to this blank form and paste from the clipboard. I've used that elsewhere, too.

Good luck, and I hope that helps a little, at least.
