Why doesnt Spybot scan the same way that AdAware or other programs do? I mean, while its scanning, it shows at the bottom of screen all these different spyware items, restricted sites, and says its doing a 'bot check'. But is it scanning the regular disc files, and registry? i guess it is, but why isnt it showing the progress in scanning those things, instead of just the 'bot' items? Does anyone know what I mean?? Its just different, but maybe its ok and Im just expecting it to be like the others Ive used.

Yes it is scanning the registry and all the other things. SpyBot S&D is just a little different in how it displays progress.

I know what you are talking about. It shows the programs it is looking for rather than what it is scanning. Personally, I believe Spybot is a great program and I don't really care on what the interface looks like, or how it shows scan progress. As long as it finds and gets rid of my problem, I'm happy.

Thats just my two cents.
Good luck!

Spybot S&D can be a pain, as it takes a long time to scan, and sometimes it's downloads don't work the first time, But it is a great program, it gets the stuff that Ad-aware, And Spyware Blaster miss.
