I have asked what works best that I don't need to purchase and all the ones I've seen will scan, but not repair unless I buy the d*** thing. I have too many viruses in Registry mostly by Spyware.

I need it cleaned out before I go any crazier than I already am.
I appreciate every help.

Nothing shows up in my "sent mail" area. Over past few weeks I have received several hundred returned mails.
I usually use Mozilla and have Norton for my "protection". I have used the Norton technical support chat (for about $70 one time fee) 4 times to no change! They take control of my computer and use programs such as "hijackthis, smitfraudfix, killbox.net".
The returned mail all use variations of my address (meaning prefixes which I do not have, most are random letters)
I started to receive a ton of regular incomming mail prior, with the same theme. They all have a "hot" stock tip. It shows a multi-colored text area on top, below that box are several paragraphs of text which is all cut up as far as the subject goes.
And yes some do have attached files of which I never opened. Both Yahoo mail and somtimes Norton would detect viruses and not allow. Sorry for the long msg, hopefully this has been seen by someone!
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

someone sent me a link that said "can you guess who this is? get back to me" or something like that. welll I clicked on it like a goon (lol) and it was "adult friend finders" (gee, my fave, not) so now I have a virus that wont let me change my homepage. It really wants to stay on "quicknews.info" (do not go there!) The options are greyed out, making it impossible to change it back to google.ca. Any suggestions welcome

I get 10 Email Viruses Attachments A Day (and not spam)
seemingly from the same person but sent from different addresses. This has been going on for over a year, Sometime yahoo mail sees the attachment as a virus and sometime not (lucky I use AVG which hasen't let me down yet). I thought it would eventually go away but it hasen't. You have to open them to mark them as spam which dosen't help. I even tried to send them back to this creep but usually just get a failed noticed. Dosen't yahoo have away of dealing with somebody like this.

I know I'm old and stupid, but what's up with viruses, worms and trogan horses? Who puts them in there and why do they do it? Are these people who don't have a life, or is it something I'll never understand?

An employee of mine quit his job and before he left he bragged about having knowledge of our IP address. The next day, our computer system went down and we lost 2 days of history/files. The 3rd party IT guy looked into our computer and said that someone had to have logged in and deleted the info but there would have been 2 warning signs pop up before the action could be done. I had only one person in the office yesterday when the event occurred who has nothing to gain from deleting files. She is part-time college student and I was in the office around her all the time. Could the ex-employee have used my IP address and remotely logged in and done this action? I have no knowledge about this kind of stuff and if could how can I prove it and prosecute him. There was a modem connected to the comuter and I have unplugged it so that noone from outside the office could conect in to the system until I figure out what is going on.

I was surfing YouTube.com and ended up with a Trojan on my computer, well I removed most of its destructive pattern by realizing that the pop ups were addons to my already existing browser (every time my browser would open, instead of the homepage "cnn.com" opening, "Internet Security" would open, even though "cnn.com was listed in my Internet Options as the homepage for my Internet Explorer browser. It took me several hours just to remove manually the "add-on patterns". I tend to lean toward Free Trial Version Anti Virus/Anti Spyware or just plain free version of these types of products, however, I've exhausted my use of ZoneLabs and Norton and I want this Trojan Removed...Gone..byebye. Pleeeeeeze Help Me. Thank you

I installed a keylogger software to track all emails and such (yes, I'm spying on someone). I am wondering though, are they safe for your computer? I have been reading about spyware and hackers and stuff and now I'm not sure if this software is safe. The program I downloaded is called KeyLog Pro. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks for your help

I have McAfee and its not worling. Whenever I try to open it, it does not open. My internet has slowed down. Every once in a while an alert thing from McAfee pops up that says there is a suspect file on your computer. A virus scan is recommended. But whenever I click on scan nothing happens. I cant tell my parents becuase then they will have find out I have a myspace and I will get in big trouble. What should I do?
