I get 10 Email Viruses Attachments A Day (and not spam)
seemingly from the same person but sent from different addresses. This has been going on for over a year, Sometime yahoo mail sees the attachment as a virus and sometime not (lucky I use AVG which hasen't let me down yet). I thought it would eventually go away but it hasen't. You have to open them to mark them as spam which dosen't help. I even tried to send them back to this creep but usually just get a failed noticed. Dosen't yahoo have away of dealing with somebody like this.

You don't have to open the email or its attachments to mark it as spam. I just click the box next to the email title line (clicking on the words opens it, clicking the box doesn't) then I click "Spam" and it removes the email from my inbox without ever opening it.

You mention that they seem to be coming from the same person, but with a different email address, add the additional detail that you can't send them back (i.e. delivery failure notice) to the originating address, all leads me to believe that you're email address in on a target list for a specific hacker.

Have you been able to identify the name, type, and purpose of the virus with your Anti-Virus/Security software? You didn't mention which AV software you're using, I have an old vesrion (2002) of Norton's Internet Security. I still use the Symantec site every now an then to check out what's floating out there. Here is the main virus threat list that the site offers and it might be useful if you know the name of the virus and which program(s) and/or file type(s) it has been attached to and you can narrow things down to the specific version (many malicious programs and viruses have similar or same names, but different purposes and effects) that is trying to get into your computer.

This part offers some additional info you may find useful in protecting your computer, granted the site is pushing the Norton's products, but the info provided is what matters and other top-of-the-line AV software (like McAfee) not just Norton's can provide similar protection.

Changing your email (as some have suggested) may work, but for the most part would not be very effective. Hackers using spam emails to deliver viruses and malicious programs tend to send them out in batches to sets of addresses and it's only a matter of time before the same spams end up in the inbox of your new email address. All you need to do is have a good Anti-Virus program (which you say you do) and mark suspicious emails as spam (as previously stated, click the box and not the text before clicking the spam tag) which is a lot less hassle than trying to change your email everytime.

Contact your isp and make sure they have the smtp filter switched on for your account. This will cause you to not be able to send email (smtp) using outlook from any isp except your own.

This will stop massive amounts spam and viruses. It does not block a list of email addresses, it blocks broadcast emails that appear as though they're going to a single email address.

You don't have to open them, just click the box beside it and go up and mark it a spam. You can also block the address so that it can't get through.

the thing i could recommend is to get a new email address and just notify everyone of the change.you could just block the address but being its coming from different addresses theres really no way to block them.
