I want to lock my child out of myspace how?

Tell your child you will be checking the pc and if you find out they've been to myspace you are going to beat their *** and take away the pc. That works on mine!

I'm not sure that you an lock them out of myspace because they can always create a new name. Your best bet would be to monitor computer use. Having the computer in a family room rather then your child's bedroom might make it easier for you to monitor their use. Because your child knows that you are checking up on them they might be less likely to go onto myspace.

if you are using internet explorer, you can go to Tools- Internet Options- and then restrict the site through Security- Restricted sites. Your child will type the myspace url in but it will never load the page.

Here's a clever little nasty that'll work if you're on a Windows PC:

Open the file:
c:\Windows \System32 \Drivers \etc \HOSTS

Add the following line at the bottom:

127.0.0.1 www.myspace.com

Save the file.

Now, try to access myspace.com. The name is now routed back to your computer and not out over the net.

u really cant there is sites that can un block it like for people at work and stuff....just monitor it..dont deny them it myspace is like a necessity these days, just watch what they do on it, even sit behind them if u have to.

block the website by clicking "tools" which is located on top of your browser. next click "internet options." then click the tab "security." now click "restricted sites" and click "sites." once your there, add www.myspace.com to the list of restricted sites.
