I was notified that my email program sent an email from me to someone I don't even know, but the bad part is I didn't do that - it did it all by itself! The message said the email did not reach the intended recipients because a virus was detected. Does that mean it is a worm? How do I get rid of it?

I downloaded a "pop up blocker"called stopzilla , then wham!!,missinng files everywhere,no access to many things including explorer,or system restore , icons changed in 'ins/unins programs' , well , even the program(stopzilla) is unable to uninstall
what now? what can I do? is all ruined?need to reinstall xp from scratch ? please help me , thanks in advance

I just bought this compaq presario pc. Something that came with the pc keeps leaving "tracking cookies" on my pc. I cant find it. It doesnt come from the internet. Whatever the program is, it came with the pc. The tracking cookies always say compaq adminstrator too. Help me find whats doing it.

After downloading the Norton security software my Microsoft Offfice applications lock up. Bottom left hand shows, requesting virus scan, or something like that. How can I fix this problem. Has this anything to do with the Norton download being only a 16 day trial version?

I have windows firewall but i heard pple say its not safe enough...
So i am thinking of getting another firewall...which is good ones?
And also is it ok to have another firewall other than windows'?
I'm afraid if both firewalls clashes and slows down my laptop..pls advice..thx

I had several system error in a row (about 25) and firefox would not open..reports were sent to firefox about 3 hours ago.

I saw earlier that a person might lose a lot of important stuff if they do a registry cleaner. Maybe especially one like me who doesn't know what she's doing and what files to keep or delete. Should I do this. I reinstalled a newer version of fiorefox 2 hours ago and no error messages since. Computer maybe a little slow but..are there risks..are these good one (this is the one firefox sent me--I think anyhow? What is a good registry cleaner and what does it mean of do?

Also still have no url address line in my toolbar..view toolbar navigation did not help

Where are the ferret people in here? HELP. I am facing dramatic troubles ! Someone played Bohemian Rhapsody in a Tescos and the Gallileo / Beelzebub bit sends them crazy. They wreaked havoc sending crowds of shoppers into a panic and clearing the store. I need to download "land of hope and glory" to my lapland... does anyone have it as an MP3?. It sooths my ferrets down. If "Horatio the 2nd". goes ape again all hell could break loose and his mate "Vladimir" soon follows suit. Send this tune fast plus some place where I can get lots of old stale slippers for chewing before these guys wreck some place !! HELP ! "Horatio 2nd" is on an Asbo !

A long time ago....i believe the beginning of last year....i got a virus on my computer....i believe i eliminated it but somethings are not quite the same....when i go to run and type in "cmd" a window pops up and says "Cmd is not a valid win32 application"....same thing with "ping"......i know you can still use the command prompt by navigating the start menu but how can that be fixed? system restore? or do i go to command prompt and type in format? what's the difference? If i do a system restore....will ALL my documents and pictures be saved? i need them and it's important....please help??
