go to download.com and type in search folderlocker in freeware mode. and u download it.
good computing
vishal , who use it several years. dont have problem
(if u make it private, everyone will see it by using search program.)

You need to be using Microsoft Windows XP

Go to the folder and right click > Sharing and Security > Make this Folder private.

I don't think Native Windows has password protection for folders. However you can apply NTFS security for folders.

However, when you compress the folders into zip files (Compressed Folders in Windows), you can apply a password. This is actually a Zip Password.

In a domain, all folders are protected unless you specifically grant access to another user or group of users, or if the system administrator does it for you.

if u use winzip then right click > add to zip file> click on password>retype password>click ok>finish.
if u hav to open the file again click on the zip folder u created..enter password and it opens....
