I had several system error in a row (about 25) and firefox would not open..reports were sent to firefox about 3 hours ago.

I saw earlier that a person might lose a lot of important stuff if they do a registry cleaner. Maybe especially one like me who doesn't know what she's doing and what files to keep or delete. Should I do this. I reinstalled a newer version of fiorefox 2 hours ago and no error messages since. Computer maybe a little slow but..are there risks..are these good one (this is the one firefox sent me--I think anyhow? What is a good registry cleaner and what does it mean of do?

Also still have no url address line in my toolbar..view toolbar navigation did not help

I use WinPatrol, its free, has registry blocks that help prevent your PC from having to use a Registry cleaner. If you do use a registry cleaner, Make sure you set a System Restore Point First. because the registry is what makes windows "stable" (the most it can be anyway). If you have a corrupt or fragmented registry your computer may not run. CCleaner is a good one. but I would go through your programs and (controlpanel>add remove programs) and take out things that you don't need first. could save you a bunch of headaches.

Registry cleaners can erase files that you need if you don't know what your doing. It sounds like you have a lot of Spyware on your computer if it is running slow. Adaware.com offers a free spyware removal tool that works pretty good. Also make sure you have a firewall installed along with your virus scan tools. As for the missing url address line, I bet your running Internet Explorer v7.0 right? Probably have all the Yahoo! toolbars up on your screen? Upgrade to IE v7.2 or revert back to v6.0 to get your toolbars back and remove the Yahoo! junk from the control panel.
