will deleting your cookies change your ip adress??.. does your ip adress change every day? or only change if you disconnect and reconnect your cable modem or wirless connection?

i just got this laptop on 9-21-06 its a upgraded dell latitude . It isnt working slowly or anything but when i shut down or start up my account it does what it normaly does a black screen but this time it has like a road desighn but in black and white my lp starts up and works fine but i had a virus scan done it found the backdoor virus and deleted it. help me i use this lp for everything. im doing a scan now it says 0. but still its a norton spywear scan but it finds viruses and deledtes them. i use avg free 7.1 and it wont let me updtae or anything but it says i need to . I have a program that allows people to come onto my lp and fiz things is this a good idea-skye,15,knows about comps.-plz help i use myspace,neopets,msn messenger,aim, and geekstinkbreathnet are these viral places

Thanks- If I go to directory> properties> security. I get CREATOR OWNER showing as having permissions and, amongst other things, "full control".
If I try to delete this profile i get an error message saying that that CREATOR OWNER is still "inheriting" info. Does this mean someone out there has control of my machine? How do i delete the directory?

i heard of someone said that if your browser is being hijacked, so all of the stuffs related to Real Player won't work. Another strange thing is my homepage of I.E. always direct me to a website. No matter how many times i select "Use Blank" for my homepage, once i open my browser it automatically go to that website. This is gonna make me crazy already and i'm worrying about Worm too.
My case is when i double click the Real file with real player, my computer just shut down itself and i suspect there is virus that make it happen, but i scan my computer and the result is o.k. My solution now is to format my System drive, so i need the answer for future prevention. Thanks.

How can a potential virus get into my e-mail inbox? I did not open--just deleted, so no harm, but I'm perplexed on how it even got that far if I'm so "protected". I have AVG Anti-Virus, Windows Firewall, Spy Bot, SpyWare Blaster,and AdAware, and a potential nightmare still got into my computer. Is this normal??? Any other security measures I should add? I downloaded AdAware-Alert, and ran a scan, and now I get this message, "A buffer overrun was detected which has corrupted the programs internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated.
What is wrong here? Can it be fixed? How?
