I use Mcafee Firewall provided through my subscription to my ISP(COMCAST) and I was wandering if I use the feature that blocks IP address if i enter the IP of spammers email address will this feature prevent mail from coming to my INBOX from these A-WHOLES?

When I 1st plugged in the comp., Cust service instructed me to make 2 CDs to re-install the comps specs. back to factory settings if the need ever arose. SUPPOSEDLY- you can get the Back-up program from there....Oh yeah????? Ref: Your weekly back-up, not restore pts.

I got pmmon yesterday despite having avg and prevx installed. I have downloaded counterspy which claimed to be able to deal whith this bug. It got rid of the bug itself but I am still getting a flashing ? in my systray which just takes my to a webpage if I click it and it keeps on warning me crytical system error! how do I get rid of this?

An instant message NOT an email. Laura mis-read the question and answered regarding EMAIL -- everyone else that answered jumped on the "email wagon" but it was an instant message. I replied "is there something I can help you with?" and received no answer. Should I just place them on ignor? I only saw one "answer/question" in here that spoke to the subject matter and it was not what I was looking for. Since then I hit "ignor" and marked it as a spam instant message. So, my question is; Does yahoo practice this type of activity? Is their an organization that has "chat detective"? or, Was it a bot? Thanks to anyone that might be able to shead light on this type of activity. Billy

This b****d is downloading software on its own and keeps flashing up security notices to tell me I have a virus (Networm-i.Virus@fp) asking me to get software costing $149!!! I have run Yahoo anti-spy and AVG and they cant shift it. This is clearly piracy and should be against the law. I probably got it while downloading something but the worrying thing is that it initiates popups which say things like " Privacy warning, You have visited illegal sites and must hide them " and then lists stuff like gayporn etc -THIS IS A LIE by the way - so no comments cos Im not in the mood and you will be reported - and I think that it is trying to stop me from taking the computer somewhere to try and get fixed. This is one nasty piece of work - what can i do?? Its doing my head in.

When double click on the .exe format file, pop up a window, it says
this time operation cancel coz the restrict of the system, pls contact

I can remove the personnal data on my profile but my real name still shows up when one does a member search on my yahoo ID. what I would really like is to delete my Yahoo ID completely and If I can't then remove any name associated with it.
