Some laptops, for instance from Dell, and some PDAs, and some flash drives (such as SanDisk Profile) have a built in fingerprint recognition for security. Can this be hacked? Could a motivated civilian computer geek do it? or would it take heavy-duty resources like FBI or NSA to do so? I keep mildly sensitive files on my flash drive and want to keep these safe if I lose the flash drive. I am computer-challenged and know zilch about security. Any thoughts?

I found a virus in my computer.
I successfully deleted it, but not sure if it'll strike again.
Does deleting it enough to kill that virus?
BTW, I don't know what the virus name is but here are the details I found with it.
It is 41.6KB in size and has a date stamp is 2/1/2006. It is an *.exe file but has an icon that looks like a folder. It hides in the bottom most sub folder and copies the name of that folder.
Behavior:
-when you double click it, it opens another windows explorer.
-it reproduce itself and copying itself to the bottom most sub folder and using the name of that folder. (example: C:\work\dec2005; the virus will put a copy of itself in that directory and will have a name: dec2005.exe with an icon that looks like folder)
please give more info regrding this.

Thanks!

I have been having a ton of pop up's lately. I'm trying to find something to stop them. I'm not so much looking for a pop up blocker but a program that would remove whatever is causing them. If it was a free program that would be great. :) I have not always had this problems, just within the last week. So if anyone knows of a program that could remove them and where I can get it I appreciate any help. Thank you.
