1) if you know who dunnit then report them to YAHOO!
2) if you dont know who dunnit but still have access to your account then change the password and dont tell ANYONE
3) delete this account and make a new one

well for starters, I'd get "PrevX" firewall, probably a good anti-virus too, like AVG or Avast, scan, and then change any other passwords...
not much you can do about the fact that the yahoo account was hacked, except umm, maybe notify yahoo, tell them you were hacked into through messenger, and if you have all the proper identification, I see no reason why Yahoo wouldn't give you back your account, and a new password too.
and for a start, NEVER share passwords etc, with anyone...and always scan for adware, spyware and viruses, and keep a good firewall on.

Contact Yahoo, change the password, and also change the security questions associated with account, use another email address as the primary contact email.

hacked? I doubt it. Unless they gave the access info or share a computer. Contact Yahoo Customer Care, go into the forum.

If the hacker has total control of the account, email a trojan horse to him that looks legit and he will open. The best way to defeat a hacker is with a better hacker.

chum, I DON`T think of every physique WILL MISUSE IT. (yet there are individuals, with distinctive bills, who say to their contacts a direction which question to be not spoke back, and which persons respond or answer shall not be judged as BA.)

Contact Yahoo and they can change the password if you can verify it is really his account.
