Don't listen to these Firefox morons. You are infected and not even Firefox can remove them. Firefox only blocks popups like any decent popup blocker.
You need to do a proper scan and removal ot the Spyware that's on your computer.
Try to do this online scan first. It is very good. Before going there, Download the newest version of Java. Once you have it downloaded go to Add/Remove Programs and remove any other versions of Java.
http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_ie.jsp
Go here for the online scan and removal. Allow it to remove all that it finds.

If this didn't remove it then go here and let this Microsoft MVP walk you through the proper procedure for scan and removal.

Please try the Yahoo! toolbar - it works just fine to block unwanted pop-up windows (regardless of the Internet browser you're using).. You may get it for free from www.yahoo.com website..
If you're using Windows XP, you can also get the security pack installed in your PC.. The security pack makes sure that you do not have unwanted pop-up windows showing in your Internet Explorer browser.. Alternatively, install all the Windows critical updates for your Internet Explorer browser..
Additionally, you may download and install Mozilla Firefox browser to access to the Internet (instead of using Internet Explorer browser).. You may get it for free from www.mozilla.com or www.download.com.. Mozilla Firefox detects pop-up windows beforehand and blocks them from appearing on your screen.. I'm a fan of Mozilla Firefox, and this browser is faster and more secure than Internet Explorer (most of my previous viral infections in my PC originated from Internet Explorer - you don't want that to happen to you too)..
Finally some pop-ups bring with them malware, adware and spyware, so do clean up your PC from those nasty stuff as well.. Get LavaSoft AdAware program to scan and detect all those nasty program and clean them up from your PC.. Again, you may get it for free at www.download.com.. You can also check out for other similar software programs at the same website..
All the best!

Nothing will stop them if it's installed spyware. Spyware removers don't work, Blockers don't work, Just learn to love them... or reinstall your operating system, Like I'm about to do after being infected from eDonkey. Outerinfo... Created by Satan himself and passed on to the people of earth.
