I have to reformat my hardware when items downloaded from limewire were infected with viruses.

Yeah, one of my antivirus programs is avast! antivirus, and it's also a screen saver. The screen saver makes it look like avast! is running a virus scan. Is that what it's doing?

I set up limewire and put some music that my band made to spread our music around...ya know..in hopes of someone noticing it and visiting our myspace, yadda yadda yadda. Anyways.
I woke up, got on the computer and found HUNDREDS of nasty files. I'm sure you can figure out what I mean. From beastiality, to KIDDY, just f-ing sick. Is it possible for someone to upload files to my computer? How could it have happened???
And another thing, I don't want to risk getting in trouble for this kind of crap...kiddie...videos...those ARE illegal in america as for as I know...just sickening! I know enough about computers that simply throwing stuff in your recycle bin will not erase data....it's still stored on the hard drive....what should I do about removing it?
All I know is I'm not using limewire anymore. >.>

i currently have zone alarm, but once you allow a certain application, it will allow that application to get to any IP address. for example, i have firefox allowed to get onto the internet, but i want firefox to be blocked from reaching a certain IP. i tried a windows HOST file but it didn't seem to work. thanks in advance.

I feel that AVG anti-virus is more popular because of the simple reason: Its Free! Due to this factor majority of users recommend AVG, as compared to Norton & Mcafee. Do you think its unbiased & justified opinion. Moreover, don't you think that its frequent updating's is a marketing stradegy, to psychologically influence the users suffering from "virus- attack-syndrome".

Hi i was rying to use ip hide,No i'm not a stalker first off and i'm not a hacker either.I need to gain access to a board that i need to talk to moderators about something but for some odd reason they banned me without even letting me know.I was told to use ip hide, Has anyone else ever used it ?I tried it and it didn't work for me. It didn't hide my ip so i was wondering what could be wrong.thanks
