It certainly does. Kaspersky AntiVirus is one of the best virus scanners out there and Kerio is an excellent personal firewall - my favorite product in this category, in fact. Just make sure that you regularly update your anti-virus.

It would make sense to install also a specialized anti-spyware/anti-adware product. My personal favorite is Spybot Search & Destroy - but AdAware and Microsoft's Windows Defender are also reasonably good.

Also, it would make sense to remember that no protection is impenetrable. Just in case something nasty manages to sneak in, make regular backups of your most valuable data. (You don't have to backup the executables; they can always be re-installed.)

The answer is both yes and no... Kerio is one of the best firewalls next to Zone Alarm... Sunbelt Kerio recommends using their product for people currently using the discontinued Sygate Personal Firewall (free). Kaspersky is one of the highest rated anti-virus programs. Even recommended by 2 PC magazines I read in the past 2 months...

Here's where the no part comes in. Your protected against viruses and hackers, but not spy-ware w/ just these programs. Some good anti-spyware programs are Windows Defender (formally known as Microsoft antispyware beta), Lava-soft Ad-Aware, Spy-bot Search and Destroy, Spywareblaster, and (another one of sunbelt kerio's own line of product's) Counterspy. Also if you are using Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall (either free or paid versions) 4.0 or above, you are 50% protected against spy-ware getting on the computer in the first place...

I hope this helps...
Andy.

Get Firefox, maybe Winpatrol and and a Anti-spyware like Windows Defender or Spydoctor(both would be excellent) and you'd be very secure.

Kerio is a good firewall if you manage to configure it right, it stands up well in testing.

Kaspersky is considered a fantastic AV, with some of the best detection on the market. excellent choice there.

I recommend you to stick to a good All-in-One Suite. There you'll get antivirus,anti-spyware,adware protection, spam protection and firewall integrated to a single interface.

Using different products (of different manufacturers) will sometimes cause your pc to crash. All in one suites are designed to avoid this issue.

Examples are

1. Norton Internet Security Suite
2. Kaspersky Internet Security

These will keep your PC safe and sound.

Don't know either product, however have given you food for thought below.

Topics covered are: Anti virus, Anti spy ware, Browsers, e-mail, Word processors, Database, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Drawings and Photo manipulations. All programmes described are free to use, some even for commercial use.

Antiviral.

AVG free. Excellent protection available from: http://www.Grisoft.com

Don't use two antiviral products together as they may be incompatible. If your Antiviral trial has run out, then remove product from your computer and get the AVG installed.

Anti-spyware

Essential products are: Adaware SE from: http://www.lavasoft.com

Spybot SD http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html

Spywareblaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

Windows Defender - from Microsoft downloads.

Office Applications

Open Office has an extremely good free to use and distribute product at http://www.openoffice.org

It contains programmes fully functional in Word-processing, Database, Spreadsheets, Drawing and Presentation. It looks and feels like Microsoft Office and can even make PDF's

Photo-manipulations

For ease of use and management of your photo files try Kodak easyshare software http://www.kodak.com

or Picasso. http://.picasa.google.com/

For advanced and fully functional photographic manipulation gimp2 is very similar to Photoshop and is available from http://gimp.org

Browsers and E-mail programmes.

Can recommend Firefox for browsing and has many safety features installed and is self updating and for a general e-mail programme, Thunderbird is very good. Go to:

http://www.mozilla.com/products/

Fun and helpful programmes

Have a look at Calendar Magic, http://www.stokepoges.plus.com/calendar.htm

it has lots of Scientific, Geometry, Factor and Expression calculators as well as Global distances, Sun and Moon Data, a Pregnancy Calculator, Time Data and Alarm clocks as well as an extremely comprehensive range of Calendars in about 27 different formats from Afghanistan to Vietnamese, including Chinese and Hindu.

C Cleaner. http://www.ccleaner.com/

This will tell you a lot about what is on your computer, such as running programmes, cookies, History, settings etc. and will help you clean up and remove unwanted items. Be careful how you use it as it is a very powerful programme and you should read the help index before you do anything with it.

Hope this information is of help to you and others.

Try Zone alarm. I used the free version for years until shelling out money for the paid version. I should have stuck with the free but it worked wonderful in blocking intrusions. Also, Earthlink has a version that does the same thing. Not sure if you have to be a subscriber to use it though. It's called Earthlink Protection Control Center.

Yes. Those will protect you somewhat. Do you have an Anti-Spy progam installed? If not, then go to here and download Windows Defender Beta 2.

If you are using the Yahoo Toolbar with Anti-Spy continue to use it. It is actually the eTrust Pest Patrol AS program and is excellent.

All listed below are Free.

Now that you have both an AV and AS program, go here and download Cyberhawk. It works with your AV/AS programs and provides an excellent extra layer of protection;

Now go here and download Site Advisor. It warns you to possible site that can infect your computer.
