You can't. Tell the police.

Contact your local police. There may be laws protecting you. The may refer you to others.

Make sure your computer is clean from spyware and off when you are not using it. Consider turning the modem on only when you need to connect to the internet. If you think your computer is used for gathering information, but a virus scanner, firewall and anti spy ware program (sometimes sold as one program) in a store and reinstall your computer. That should keep him out of there at least.

The sad thing is that, if you know what you are doing, you can get any information on anybody and there is nothing you can do about it.

Please keep an eye out for abuse of personal information (strange credit card charges, incorrect listings on your credit report, etc.)

Check http://www.wiredsafety.org/cyberstalking_harassment/stalker.html for additional information/resources.

Good luck, and I'll hope the guy fall under a train!

Be more careful about the information that you allow to be seen publicly over the Internet and inform the police about it if you feel it's necessary.

Not really sure you can stop them. You can take steps to limit the information that is out there. Go to Yahoo! and do a search for yourself, and then contact every site that you find your information on and ask them to remove it.

Report them to the police.
Allow the police to look at any communications you may have had from the person, and to make copies of your logs etc if they think it's serious enough. Chances are, they have left enough evidence to be traced to their homes too!!!!
