There is something going around (hotbar) that offers emoticons, for free. If you've downloaded it, you have opened up to an attack. That is just what this does, takes over the PC, and will not allow your homepage to work. If it isn't too far advanced yet, you can get an ad-aware program that will clean things up. I'm assuming you've gone into internet options and tried to change it back to you your preferred home page already. If you can't get out to get an ad ware remover, or install it, you may just have to format to get rid of it. I've found two that I could not clean up, and one that did clean up with out formatting. I had to do a complete format and re-install of the OS to get rid of that problem in my own PC just a couple of months ago.

i have that on my computer only when i go to the intenet... i have msn and other intenet sites to but on this one it says about blank.. i really do not think it will hurt anything.. if you want go to the internet and click on system tools and see what your settings are...but otherwise i have not been worrying about it.. i have a program that i ordered online and it keeps my computer cleaned of possible threats and cookies and deletes the threats and put one cookie or something that was attached to the zuma game in quarantine...so if you have protection i really would not worry about it.. the internet on that page does come up blank though...

You should provide more information? Is it just coming up when you intially start your browser? Is it always coming up for every page?

I'd reset your browser to the default settings. If this doesn't fix it try running some antispyware programs.

Don't worry...

IT IS NOT A VIRUS ( Well... 99.99% it is NOT )

It just means that you haven't setup a HOME PAGE for your internet explorer

Go to Tools ---> Internet Options when you open a new Internet Explorer window.

There you will see options on how to setup your home page - the page that opens up, when you start internet explorer

It's not necessarily a virus. Javascript etc., a client-side programming language (web pages) can do that. Get Firefox, and then a pop-up blocker.
