So about a month ago, i got a new mini PC. It worked fine up until last night when i stretched my legs out, and knocked over the stand that it was on. The computer was on when it fell on its back and then it turned off, and now it wont turn on. I tried taking the cover off and checking around inside it for anything that may have come loose, but i dont know what im doing in there so im not sure if anything happened. The PC is a shuttle mini PC that a friend of mine built himself, if thats of any importance.

Every time i go to save something to a disc it wont save and I cant find any where other than an E drive which it wont allow me access to, so where am I going wrong?

Okay, I would like to know if there is anyway I can get into my husband's aol/aim account? I'm not going to go into details to what he's done in the past and what I believe he is doing now. I know it's wrong to just enter into someone's account, but this is yahoo answers and I just need someone to help me out with my question not about why I'm doing this or if I can get sued. None of that. I just need to know if there is a way and if so how I can do it? Thanks alot!

when I backspace or try to erase what I wrote, a line gets drawn across the letters, but they do not actually disappear

I usually like mines to be

"align to grid"

and i always keep mines checked marked on

"show desktop icons"

i used to like to Keep my icons arranged with auto arranged...

but something about it looked old school, so i thought keeping

it to "Align to grid" would be nice

i know if u have a lot of programs, it takes a long time to load. but my computer takes SO LONG to just get to the screen where i have to enter my password. and its only my account on there so its not because of too many users. any ideas?

Whenever I try to open up the Recycle bin, My Computer or any folders on my desktop, the screen goes blank for a couple of seconds, and comes back without the folder open. Why is this happening?!?!? I have either Windows XP or 2000, no Vista, and this just started happening.

recently my laptop has been acting really weird. All of the short cuts including the status bar, are completely gone. i have tried clicking on the screen, and taking out the battery. i have also tried to restart it and shut it down, but it wont do either. it just stays on the blank blue screen.

any ideas on whats wrong with it and how to fix it?
any suggestions would be helpful!

The noise is very annoying and can last for several minutes or more. I dont have any programs running at the time. What is this noise and is there a problem with my computer.

Is it true that depending on the amount of disk space you have in your internet options settings, can effect how many cookies will be kept on file?

I have been told that if the limit is reached (like you have set it to 1 mg for example) it may begin to overwrite older cookies... but will it necessarily be in order by date? In other words... will the oldest ones get deleted and replaced by the new?

For some reason... when testing it on my computer... i have tried visiting new websites... to see if the old ones will delete .. and they dont?

I have to hard drive disks. one has the operating system.
the other one is a slave one. the slave one is just for storing
music and movies and music videos. I just format the main
primary hard drive disk and re-install XP SP2. Now,
when I want to put a video file from my slave hard drive disk
it opens the media player 11 and it said something about
a codec, i install the codec. and now there is another error
that appears and it won't let me watch my video files.
what's wrong? how do i fix this problem?

For some reason, the public libraries in Miami-Dade county, at least in the BEACH area, have started to get the STRANGEST of maintenance. It goes like this: First of all there's nothing wrong with them. I know because I use them every single day. When least expect it they announce on the computer system that there'll be maintenance done on FRIDAY in the morning. Come 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and your lucky if they're up and running.

This not being enough, they then wait for the following MONDAY to do maintenance again, this time SUPPOSEDLY on the PRINTING and computer RESERVATION system.

Today the message on every screen reads "The AUTHENTICATING AUTHORITY could not be contacted"...When I ask librarian, she tells me "it is posted there on the door" (as if I couldn't read!!!). Then she says reservations have to be made at desk. Asks for my library card (the card # is not enough), and still she requires my IDENTIFICATION PIN. I give it to her, and I'm able to go in. Why this??

C drive and D drive. However C drive which is programs, is getting full . Where as D drive which is data is almost empty, how do I transfer some setting from D to C? and will they show in start menu just the same??

I managed to loose the shortcut to the desktop, which normally are placed next to the Start-button on the toolbar on the screen. How do I get the desktop shortcut back? Anything would be helpful, thanks.
