1 advantages: if you compromise your system you know there are holes in security
2 most important if you compromise school network system you might got in trouble because it cyber crime.

Tell me about it, even at the college level. I work IT at a college and with a big computer lab, 80% of the kids at any given time are screwing around on myspace keeping kids who need to use the computer for actual academic reasons from using the computers. I've seen some actually come in at 7 am and stay on myspace for over 8 hours, but its not uncommon for them to stay on it for hours on end.
