Can't get access to e-mail.
followed the verification procedure but got a fail.
Sent a fax got no response.
Called today and was asked for a 'product key' don't know what this is.
Bought the PC 7 years ago with windows xp, can't find the original set disc (where this 'key' is), have back up disc.

Told to contact PC maker to get new 'key'

Anyone else had this problem?
Is there another solution?
Have sent microsoft another fax with product support info I found on pc programme.

pc and software are legit (unless Tesco is guilty of selling counterfeit software)

Just wondered if anyone else has got this problem.
Unable to access e-mail for 2 days now, feel pretty p****d at microsoft.
Can I take my business elsewhere?

I am in college on a Local Area Connection, and whenever I restart my computer or do a cold boot I see a black exclamation point inside of a yellow triangle next to the Local Area Connection icon and it says "limited or no connectivity," and the internet does not work. The only way to fix this is for me to disable the Local Area Connection and reboot, then enable the connection again, or just disable it whenever I know I am going to reboot or turn the computer off, then reenable it when I turn it back on. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen? How do I fix it?

i unstalled a game and when i rebooted my computer it doesnt load till the end - it only loads my wallpaper and not my whole desktop and stuff... i opened my internet explorer through the task manager, new task ...

I have an imported US laptop. My keyboard when set on UK settings has no backslash as in xx\xxxx. Or if it has, I can't find it. This is very frustrating, since certain accounts require this as part of the log on code. I have to cut and paste from a Word file. Does anyone know of a way I can program a key to support the backslash? Or some other solution?

Why is it that every time I attempt to open this, there pops up on the screen "Windows Movie Maker has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." (Sorry, yeaha right)... but no really, I had already tried to download Windows Movie Maker 2.1, but doesn't seem to work, even though I have Windows XP-SP2...... Is there any explanation? And if not, does anyone know where I can download a movie maker for free?

i read that CD burner has 2 lasers.. a write laser, a read laser and a eraser laser.

I need to write a brief report on three different personal computer operating systems. Since this is for Windows XP class, I think Windows should not be included. Anyone who answers (with a genuine answer) will recieve a thumbs up for their trouble.

I'm having a devil of a time trying to get the WIndows XP cmd.exe (not command.com) to accept standard ANSI color sequences, such as ^[[32mGreen.

From everything I have gathered, cmd.exe does not support ANSI colors? It's difficult to wrap my head around this mistake if Microsoft truly made it, its just difficult to believe they would have ignored ANSI support.

Any help would be *greatly* appreciated.
