Ok, dont worry, disregard anything else you have heard. Before doing a system restore or anything here is something you can run Go into F8, Press F8 during boot up, untill you get to the prompt. Choose Safemode with networking, when this comes up you will have an MSdos screen. Now type in "CHKDSK" hit enter, it will run and it might say it needs full access and needs to run on start up.. Restart after that point and let it run. Most chances it will fix any corrupted system files. Now, if it is more than a system file, and perhaps the program is cought in memory, or is loading on startup, it could be hogging the resources and not letting anything else load. But I would bet my last dollar its just a system file. If all else fails then do a restore your computer to the last Restore check point on system restore, before you even installed the game, if you dont have one. try one thats before you uninstalled.

Ok, to get your desktop back try this:

When your computer loads open the task manager and go to the Processes tab. Once you have that open find explorer.exe and press "End Process". Then from the File menu select "New Task" and type explorer and press return. I often find forcing explorer to reload like this gets your desktop back.

With your desktop back diagnosing your problem should be easier. If you are using Windows XP try using the System Restore feature (Start -> Run -> %systemroot%\system32\rstrui.exe) or using MsConfig (Start -> Run -> MsConfig) to select "Diagnostic Start up Mode" to limit the programs that start with your computer and which may be causing the problem (you can also run both of these from the task manager).

Ok I've had this problem previous times and I suck at fixing problems like this. So go to the start menu
Go to the
-->Accessories
then -->System Tools
Next click System Restore and restore to a previous point in time "Before" the installation of the game and the problem should resolve it self after the restore and reboot.But if not then scan your antivirus and spyware scanner.

Your PC is infected, probably from installing the game.

Power up your PC and tap the F8 key until you see the Boot Options screen and choose Safe Mode. Run all malware tests and Remove the Game program.

Re-boot normally and, if you're lucky, PC will be all better.

If not, back up all data and re-install Windows.
