Is it safe to end most processes? Cause tmy computer has been freezing up lately and was wondering if this could be the cause. Anyone, know? I'm scared to end processes cause not sure if it will stop the program from running for good or temporarily.

Are there any Computer keyboards that have the Pound Sterling Symbol on them like this £.

All of the keyboards I have seen have the dollar symbol were the number 4 is but I have never seen the Pound Sterling Symbol £

The only way I am able to get the Pound symbol is to copy and paste it from the internet.

only in one file. This is one the screen and on the printout. I have one inch margins and everything I can find is 100% that might scale and paper is shown as 8.5" wide and print width is shown on the ruler as 6.5. But when viewed on the screen there is much white space to the right, as if the paper were about 10" wide and when it prints the printing is only about 5" wide. In other words, it prints like it looks and I can't find a place to tell it it is being stupid.

i can't add any favourite links with "favorites" menu..when i click favorites>add to favorites nothing comes on screen..i have tried with "favorites" toolbutton also...the left portion of browser is covered with grey skin (like taskbar,captioin button,3d object etc,,) instead of white window of favorites' list..
Now tell me how i can add favorite links to my IE browser ?
what had actually happened?
how to correct/repair it to get it work as before?
please don recommend me another browser to use as i am habited to use IE browser and it is difficult for me to download ,install and personally set a new another browser

Just recently, everytime I click on a link to open a pdf in IE 7, my computer at first acts like it frozen, then I get a message that IE needs to close.

If I do a "save target as" I can save the pdf to my computer, and then view it with no problem, but this is a real pain to do all the time.

I thought upgrading Adobe Reader might solve the problem, but it hasn't.

Does anyone know what could be causing this, and how I can repair it?

Okay so I have a really old computer (maybe 95 to 98) that I use it for gaming. Anyways, one day the computer froze and I decide to turn off all power. Well by doing that, now when I try to turn that computer back on, there seems to be some missing files and the screen is black. I can't get in and I'm stuck with that black screen telling me I have a missing file or corrupted something. Can't someone help me like figure out what to do? Thank you!!

If i want to make 2 pictures like...into one, how do i do it? Kinda like a collage. So if i were to put them both on a word document they would be "stuck together" like one picture instead of 2 separate ones... if that makes ANY SENSE..lol PLEEZ HELP!

I paid about £90 to buy XP Pro a couple of years ago and my mate has a "pirate" copy. he went onto Ebay and paid £2.50 to make his copy receive updates (therefore to make it "genuine") that was just under a year ago and he still gets them. I went to his earlier and he even showed me by going onto windows website, he was able to validate his copy and it passed.

How can this be so??? I feel I spent £90 for nothing now!!!

I always thought Microsoft would eventually block him, but nearly a year later he's fine.

He had to go onto some programme on his comp where he put a new "activation" key in, which was supplied by the seller on Ebay and it worked!!!!

How can Microsoft allow this???

I need to capture long pages to paste into word or visio..I would like to do this without having to use photoshop to crop a series of captures together.
The pages I need have a horizontal scroll but I just need the pages , all of them in one shot - one long image not 2 or 3.

I have a bunch of digital pictures I want to get printed out. I use to just take the camera in but they aren't on my camera any more. I have a whole file. Can I put them straight on a disc to take in or do I need to put them in a different format? What is the easiest way for me to do this?

My laptop has a bluetooth card inside. Would it work with the Microsoft
mouse if I don't use the included Microsoft® Mini Bluetooth Transceiver ?
