I have had two accounts on the machine, admin and user. I removed the user account and renamed the admin account to the users name, but it appears there is a duplicate account now running. Any ideas on how to remove it??

Have some programs that are memory hogs and I currently have 512 MB. I only have two slots and memory capacity at 1MG. I also have a Dell 4600 with 4 slots and two 256 currently installed. Could I take the two from the first and add it to the 4600 (making it 1 G) and buy a gig for the 4500?

Also is memory all the same? What would be a good source to buy memory (best value) I see such a variance in pricing and am not sure what to buy.

i have avast antvirus pro 4.7 but apparently it seems to be working on another language(not english).how can i change it to english.since i cant read the language,u could tell me how the icons look or where it is placed.that would really help........thanx

My brother messed my computer up, and the entire system is in chinese or japanese (cant tell between the two, obviously) and I need it to go back into english. The programs that are REALLY affected by this is iTunes and notifications like "save, cancel, etc." PLESE, any help would be amazing!

Is there any way I can get DVD files from Limewire and burn them onto a DVD disc, not a CD? I tried but I cant find any that will burn onto a DVD disc.

Oh my god oh mygod i am pancking! my father just deleted all my files since they "SLOWS DOWN THE PC”. And then he deleted all the files on my computer belonging to me, and I had say about, 200 school files! He emptied the recycle bin, so no bringing in back from there! WHAT DO I DO!!! Hello everyone, here's my problem. I accidently unpluged my laptop while I was surfing the internet and my laptop completely shut off. When I turned it on again, all the programs that were connected to the internet when I accidently unpluged my computer will not connect to the internet anymore. I had Firefox, AOL, Southwest Airline's DING Program, and WeatherBug running at the time and they were all connected to the internet, but they won't connect now. Internet Explorer connects because I wasn't running it when I accidently unpluged my computer. I've tried reinstalling the programs and that doesn't work. I also tried turning off my firewall and that didn't work. I don't know what else it could be. My lapto is a Dell Inspiron 5100 that runs Windows XP. It connects to the internet on my home's wireless network. I have Verizon FiOS. Thanks for your help in Advance.

i was on the nvidia website trying to update some drivers, and it said i had to delete them and install the new ones. i deleted them and some reason i cant connect to the internet anymore.. when i try to click on the shortcut to connect, nothing pops up.. what have i done? and can i fix it?

I think i have a virus on my computer since alot of my stuff keeps messing up. Sometimes everything would just freeze and i try to click on buttons, they disappear, i tried to click on the start button to restart the computer, it disappears as well. Then i have to result on actually pressing the power button which greatly messes up the computer. Stuff keeps freezing up and its like i cant get anything done. When i get back onto my comptuer the desktop gets 'turned off' and some data is lost. I tried doing a McAffee virus scan on all my files (almost 50,000) and none are infected.

Recent programs i have downloaded (and deleted):
Macromedia Flash trial
M.U.G.E.N/Naruto battle arena (video game)
WinRAR
Instant Cursors and Icons (or somethin like that)
Art Cursors
Photoshop trial(it didnt work when i dled it)

Any possibilities for why this is happening? Or any tips to fix it?

Oh, and a blue error screen sometimes pops up saying that Windows has to close for an error

Is this malware or spyware being introduced to stop me from functioning on this computer, either from companies trying to make me buy a new computer or from disdained or otherwise programmers attempting to get me to buy new software to stop it? This happens from time to time, often in Yahoo but not limited to Yahoo and I am assuming I may be being targeted through my IP address?
