tell him now that you lost all your files for school that you're going to get really bad grades and drop out and live at home the rest of your life while they support you.
I think if you take your computer into a shop they can get your files off the hard drive.

I wish you would have a software installed which could bring back deleted files.
Now those deleted data is still on your Hard Drive but to restore that will take a lot of money.
Any one can make mistake do not blame parents. I can understand how you will be feeling right now, why not think to restore those lost files.. You better ask a question again if you can restore those files may be some kind hearted Pro here guide you.

No need to worry completely. Whenever you empty the recycle bin, Windows does not actually clear the files but flags the bits to be written over on the hard drive. You can use a utility from Norton or maybe try the free trial from this website: http://www.smartundelete.com/ . Some free utilities can be found at http://officerecovery.com/freeundelete/ and http://www.mispbo.com/datarecovery.htm . Try not to use the computer because your chances of retrieving the files will diminish as the computer may overwrite the files. Even if you do overwrite the files once, there are still methods of recovery but in those extreme cases, companies may often refer to a specific data recovery company. The government also has methods of recovering data to use on criminals and so the Department of Defence has assessed it and determined 7 overwrites to be a good amount before the data is actually gone.

I take it you have never backed up your files. If you did you can get them from there.
You got one other option- First make a password, so Dad can not do a delete. Next, use your email to store stuff. You can put school work there, and it can not get erased.
There is a program that will recover those files, look on the net, it will not be free.

Come on. He couldn't have erased your personal files by accident and he wouldn't have done that just to be mean.
He's punishing you for something you did, right?
Well, it's not proper to get in the way of your father's personal business, so I won't tell you how to get some of your files back.
Actually, it's quite rude of you to be asking people about this. Hopefully, some day you'll grow up to be a responsible parent like your father.

Well move on and know that you can avoid this from ever happening again simply by buying an external hardrive at the store store all your files and music on there and then you can finally take a sigh of relief knowing this tragic moment will never happen again.

I'm very sorry to hear, and I'm also sorry that you live with a father whom is "technologically challenged" as I would say, no offence to him or you of course. Well you can google for "deleted file recovery". It might be possible to recover those deleted files, but I doubt it, it depends on the operating system, and other things as well...I suggest from now on you lock your account on the system, and re-download your music, and hopefully those files won't implicate your future...you should backup your files periodically from now onto cd's, dvd's or usb flashdrives.

There are products out there...this is one I use.
http://www.diskinternals.com/
the first one is Uneraser...click the download button and you can have a free evaluation copy. I bought mine because it is so powerful.
Did he empty the recylce bin too? If not it can be recovered from there.
Also go into Control Panel and User accounts make you one with Admin rights and then make him one with limited rights.
Keeps him out of your files. Make sure his rights are restricted.
There is also a Dos command called Undelete but you need the path and the names of the files he deleted.

Follow the following steps:
1. STOP USING THAT COMPUTER, or at least stop writing files to it.
2. use another pc to download a file recovery program and install it on your current pc.(eg: easy recovery) search in download.com
3. run the recovery software and use it on your disk.( if you dont know how to use it look in help).
if you cant use a file recovery program then go to a technican.
most important of all is that no files are written to that computer and it will be much better if you stop using it.
note:DONOT USE DISK DEFREGMENTER OR CHECK DISK OR ANY OTHER STUFF.
feel free to contact me for any help.
best of luck

You could try washing it in lemon juice or any citrus fruits a few times to strip out the colour. That should work, but if it doesn't the hairdresser can do it and it takes out all the colour. & I'm pretty sure you can buy some hair products that strip hair dye out of your hair. xD
