I tend to spend a lot of time working on my computer and notice that in periods when I am working intensively on the computer, my eyesight decreases tremendously. What is the least damaging form of computer screen? Is there another way of protecting my eyes? Thank you.

I was looking at a 7 day auction on Ebay and the auction ended with no bids. The auction contained multiple items but I was only interested in just one of the items in the auction. Is there an Ebay feature that will allow me to make the seller an offer on that particular item of interest? Is there a way that the seller can reauction the item but only have it as a 'buy it now' and only allow my bid to be the only one he'll accept? I know that I could probably purchase it directly from him but I had rather go thru Ebay to make it a more binding transaction.

I am getting so frustrated because i download information to try to find out and then you click here, click there and get lost in internet websites and download buttons!!!! Two hours later i still havent gotton any closer to finding out.

I know there is a way, obviously other people do it. I am happy to learn and put in the time to learn, but how do i find the information without just getting people who direct me to their website and offer all these great incentives but not actually the information that i am trying to find out?

Can anyone please help?

Mac has just broken the limits on computer processing with its 8 core processing mac pros. So how long do you guys think it will be before windows or a windows affiliate will release a knock off of the mac pro? They hijack every other idea mac comes up with so why not this one?

Opinions on macs os and Windows Vista are also welcome, as long as play nice.

The time on my computer is jammed in 1990. It's freaking weird and it's bothering me cause this causes many websites to have their security certificate expire. No matter how I change it, it will always pop back to 1990. The time is right as well as the day. But the year is stuck in 1990...so you guys got any idea?

When I boot my PC, I get the following error:-
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:

\windows\system32\config\system

You can attempt to repair this file starting windows setup using the original setup CD-Rom.

Press 'r' at the first screen to start repair"

Firstly, I don't have the start up CD!
I have tried restarting in safe mode by rebooting and pressing F8. This only takes me back to the screen above.

All this started after I downloaded the Windows validation update recently which says my copy is not valid!

I can't help but think this is connected somehow.

I puchased the PC with a valid Windows ME registry key but I can't find the original CD. I then borrowed an XP upgrade CD which was obviously not legal but It seems too much of a coincidence that now I am left with this issue after downloading the recent update.

Any help would be appreciated.
Just need to get the PC to boot up in order for me to investigate more.
