it was created by Tim Berners-Lee who was born in London on june 8th, 1955. In 1980 he worked on a project based on the concept of hypertext. Around 1989 he connected hypertext with something called TCP and DNS and from there he and co-workers made some revisions and there it was the birth of the World Wide Web! The very first web site was at CERN[3][4][5][6] and it showed up on-line for the first time on August 6, 1991 and it explained what the web was, how to own a browser and how to set up a server. From there he went on to found the World Wide Web Consortium or, W3C which he still helpt to control today

Actually we are still developing the world wide web as we speak.............er type.

No certain person is responsible for this system but as we continue to use it in our daily lives, marketing, communication, research, entertainment and source of information we are very responsible for the development of the Internet.

Your question is the same as asking, Who invented television?

No matter the question, the person that invents a system or idea usually never really sees the total outcome of their invention.

Al Gore did, of course. Without the Senate's approval, the Internet would not have come into being. Now he's invented Global Warming.

Good luck and Happy Computing!
