I was looking at a 7 day auction on Ebay and the auction ended with no bids. The auction contained multiple items but I was only interested in just one of the items in the auction. Is there an Ebay feature that will allow me to make the seller an offer on that particular item of interest? Is there a way that the seller can reauction the item but only have it as a 'buy it now' and only allow my bid to be the only one he'll accept? I know that I could probably purchase it directly from him but I had rather go thru Ebay to make it a more binding transaction.

Go to the auction that ended and click on ask seller a question. Ask him exactly what you're asking here. How can you purchase the item from him. Ask him to list the item you want with a buy it now and have him give you the item #. There is no ebay feature that allows you to do this after an auction has ended.
There is no way for the seller to only list the item just for you. That's why you want him to give you the item # as soon as he lists it so you can bid.

I've made many deals like this with sellers on ebay with no problems.
Make sure they've got good feedback and make sure you pay with paypal. That way, if you don't get your item, it will be easier to dispute it with paypal and easier to get your money back.

just write to the seller and tell them you want to buy the item. they will likely repost it to allow you to buy it, or arrange some other way for you to buy it.

Call Griff host of ebay radio, if he can't answer your question no one can.
